Like it, live it, hate it or love it it’s evidence that matatu Culture has taken hold in Kenya’s culture and heritage and most certainly in her capital city Nairobi. The culture is so attracting s o much so that nowadays we get to have ‘Nganya Awards'(an award ceremony that acknowledges the best souped up matatu in the whole of Nairobi if not Kenya)

This time the events was held in KICC with an entrance payment of KES 500 ($5)but you know not all Nairobi dwellers[sic] can afford to pay that and many tried to enter without paying the entrance fee, the deceased included. The deceased fell off a moving matatu and died to avoid the payment.
