Yes, it is indeed true that gospel rapper, Maluda who has worked with top Kenyan notable rap artistes today from Kayvo Kforce to Khaligraph Jones to Juliani has finally hanged the mic, so to speak.

Gospel rapper Maluda credits his music success to secular rappers Khaligraph Jones and Kayvo Kforce

According to an email the rapper shared exclusively with Biggest Kaka, the artiste noted that he is not happy of the man that he is becoming and that he would be happy to know that he has at least change someone’s life with his music but still remains to be a Christian but not a Christian rapper.

” Man it’s been some time looking back from 2004 when I first picked up a pen till now 2017 when it’s an actual reality it’s kind of a surreal experience I’ve been fortunate to meet lots of people touched the mic with game-changers and eventually met brothers and people I consider to be family.

But to be honest, it just doesn’t feel the same anymore, sometimes I look at the mirror and I can’t recognize the person I’m looking at, wrestling with so much in my heart and I feel like I’m fighting a losing battle, looking in my corner I’m alone and I know I can’t keep wearing this mask I have on much longer, so I feel like its best I step aside and let the ball roll to the next man, I’m still a Christian just not a rapper anymore. I’m thankful for the little I’ve been able to achieve; if God used me to make a difference in someone’s life I’m humbled to do so. God is good. Glory to God. Forever unashamed…” – Maluda told Biggest Kaka reporter.
