Any girl who has gone through teenage angst has gone through a lot to survive her body changing and her hormones becoming more and more powerful in her decision making. But there are some were the hormones literally take over and horrendous decisions are made.
This particular story is of a girl from Homa Bay who is a pupil of Ndhiwa Primary School in Ndhiwa sub-county. She sat her first papers on Tuesday but failed to turn up yesterday. Education officials said the She allegedly left home on Tuesday but never returned. Homa Bay County Police Commander Marius Tum said efforts by her parents to trace her proved futile. He said:
“Preliminary information I have is that the girl is suspected to have eloped with a man. But we are investigating the matter to find out the truth of the allegations and her whereabouts.”
This story just doesn’t make sense. Humour me? I think that the girl may have got so stressed out that she thought maybe that kajamaa of mine can take better care of me than this certificate can. Because the timing is so odd. Why during one of the biggest exams does something like this happen?
Please get me right, I am not excusing the behaviour of the cradle-snatcher who eloped with her if the story is true. I am just trying to figure out the state of the young girl’s mind for her to abandon such an important test. But what do I know anyway?
