We seriously need to talk about it now.
Statistics show that our children are highly exposed to HIV/AIDS and other diseases through social behavioral preferences and other factors that are yet to be tethered down.

All this, the agencies say is because, parents are too busy with life, they rarely have time or open talks about life with their children.

Looking at how living standards have shot up, it is understandable that food must be brought to the table, fees paid.

Why should parents take this bull by its horn?IMMEDIATELY?

Children, young as 10 years are active sexually or are instigated to stimulate sexual pleasures at home or school. You must have watched a video or two, with house-helps, rogue uncles or with fellow school mates.

And this behavior if not noted in time,it could lead to worse things, you as a parent wouldn’t want to hear or imagine.

Sex TALK being a taboo in Kenyan families or rather African set ups needs to be a thing of the past. Parents must talk openly ends on about sex and its consequences with their children, because if we don’t, someone else will or God knows they will, from sources that can not be trusted.

We should talk about diseases and how they can be transmitted openly. How does one know who our children are meeting at house parties, PROJECT X thrills that go in estates, in hostels at church Keshas? What they DO?

Are these people engaging your children safe, who are they, how well do you know them, or are you okay when your child tells you, they are good?

I was listening to Nation Fm, Jimmy Gathu and Mumbi had a topic that might shake up the state of this nation if we do not act now.

A caller said that, we can not be moral police?

Sir, you can be a moral army leave a police officer!

What you need to do is, picture you child in that bash being offered gallons of cheap liquor to intoxicate him/her and then imagine a dozen of boys/girls each trying to be sensual with them.

I believe you should have called authorities and informed them that a party was going on,and you believe it shouldn’t because of ABC.Unless you are a frequenter or an organizer of such.

The National Aids Control in Kenya, say that, it is time you and your child have that talk. That open, educating, mind blowing, chilly talk about sex,AIDS and all.

In an example given, imagine a child who vertically was born with HIV yet they do not know, why they have to keep taking pills for that chest pain, that never ends, that cough, January to January?

It is important to inform your children what ails them, i do not front for stigmatization but do you see how this can spread at School,in campus and parties?

It is also worth noting that, the age that one can get tested on their own is now 15 years, down from the adult stipulated age of 18.
